The location of the data plate on an excavator can vary from machine make and age but can usually be found on the exterior / outside of the cab, on the lower-left corner, below the boom arm or under the windshield. On older excavators, they can be located within the cab, fixed to the console, seat, walls or floor - usually towards the drivers right foot.
