How Does the Kubota Quick Attach Work?

The Kubota quick attach coupler is a manually operate system which means some labour is required.

  1. Remove the rear locking pin located just below the back pin of your excavator arm.
  2. Engage the front pin of your excavator with the hooks on the top of the attachment.
  3. Crowd the back of the coupler until it sits flush with the top of the attachment.
  4. Align the pin holes in the coupler and attachment, then slide the rear locking pin through to secure the attachment in place.
  5. To detach your attachment, simply reverse the process: remove the rear locking pin, crowd the back of the coupler away from the attachment, and gently lift the front pin out of the attachment hooks.

Do Kubota Quick Attach Couplers fit other brands?


Kubota quick attach couplers are designed specifically for Kubota excavators and do not fit other excavator brands. Unlike some universal couplers, like mechanical quick couplers, the Kubota quick attach system uses a unique mounting design. This means the coupler will only pick up attachments with the compatible Kubota hanger system. Any attachment without this specific hanger will not mount to the Kubota quick attach coupler, making it incompatible with excavators from other manufacturers.
